Upcoming HRA Meetings

In addition to its standard meeting agenda, the HRA will discuss the following at upcoming meetings. These meetings will also be posted with the additional details on the town calendar and on the HRA website.

December 4. The HRA will address all the leases/applications and forms it currently utilizes to ensure they are updated for the upcoming season. The HRA will also go into Executive Session to review the draft (not for public distribution) Keller Williams report on valuations so that the board can send it back for edits and/or additional information. This will be in-person only. There will be no Zoom meeting that night. The meeting will be held in the Memorial Middle School.

December 11. The HRA will discuss all the citizen submissions, even the ones that were just submitted but not presented.  They will also identify the submissions they will ask back for additional clarification and feedback.

January 8. The HRA will schedule selected citizens who presented or submitted to come back for additional input. As time permits, the HRA will revise all license agreement, leases, applications, and procedures that impact how the property will be utilized moving forward into 2024. The HRA will consider whether local business will receive preferential treatment, and consider mechanisms to help the HRA determine how successful specific activities, events, and programing are in respect to value to the community, economic impact, and citizen and tourist participation.

January 22. HRA Members will present their individual views of how they wish to see the property utilized, based upon personal point of view and the input from citizens which they have received.  Each member will have ten minutes to present and there will be ten more minutes for Q & A.

February 5. The HRA will review the meeting of January 22 and then discuss, debate, and determine what a revised new draft Urban Renewal Plan would look like, including a definition of economic development that is clearly agreed upon by the entire HRA.  This conversation may require more than one meeting.

February 12. The HRA will revisit the work done on February 5 and obtain feedback from Emily Innes, the consultant retained to ensure use of the specific and correct language required by the DHCD. It will also continue its discussion of the updates to the new draft Urban Renewal Plan.
