Hi i am jody mchugh my wife julie and i have lived in hull 33 years we have 3 sons and 3 grandchildren. I would love to see the hra parcel developed as openly as possible. It is a centerpiece to hull . Development and eventual use ideally would be parks recreation and open space along with fountains and bonfires. Our proposal is not so much for the space but for the road that runs through it.The roadway between the pavilion and the war memorial has to be one of the most amazing stretches of road in this country. The large utility poles stand opposite each other and would become flagpoles.Pole mounted solar lights under the flags would illuminate from below and the street lights at the top would create an outdoor gallery or hall of flags .Moving through this kinetic memorial will honor the families that once lived there ,air travelers flying over hull will see an amazing display at night .There are service lanes on both sides for light plant vehicles.Maybe we could name this new memorial drive after Maureen Dunn , activist ,author and advocate for pow and mia families whose husband was a hull kid .Thank you for the chance to submit our proposal.
